Our New Global Outreach Campaign: Building an EcoTribe

Yachana is seeking to build a global support network to bolster our rainforest preservation efforts throughout the Ecuadorian Amazon by increasing and strengthening our membership base. We have launched a new outreach initiative that will not only provide us with invaluable monetary support, but allow us to organize a burgeoning community of environmentalists that can be mobilized behind ecological and cultural preservation. With exciting new projects in sight, as well as the ever-present need to invest in our students’ future at the Yachana Technical High School, there has never been a more urgent time to join the tribe!

Why it helps

The most effective way to help us is to join as a member who makes modest monthly contributions to our foundation. This form of support offers us a steady, predictable flow of income that we can rely on to plan future projects. Equally as important, your EcoTribe membership demonstrates unity and solidarity with our organization. Membership embodies the power of ongoing financial support working in conjunction with invaluable social capital.

How it works

We courteously ask that members offer a US$30.00 gift on a monthly basis, which essentially breaks down to the tangible budgeting of a dollar a day. We will automatically debit your credit card each month. While there are no long term requirements for your membership, we do rely on the ongoing support of our members. Ten dollars is the minimum donation and remember, all U.S. donations are tax deductible.

Your benefits

For every five dollars you donate you will receive one Yachana Green Credit which can be accumulated monthly and eventually used for discounts at our lodge or the purchase of products. Yachana Green Credits are completely transferable, meaning you can assign the points you earn through sustained membership to anyone you please. Additionally, while 75% of your donation will go directly to the Yachana Technical High School and other related education projects, 25% of your gift will go to our new carbon program. This groundbreaking system will allow you to offset your "carbon footprint" and safeguard acres of rainforest from destruction by offering local farmers a powerful incentive to keep forests standing AND engage in reforestation efforts. In order to thank the members of our tribe, we offer you Yachana Green Credits and the guaranteed preservation of acres of pristine, life-sustaining rainforest.
