Get Involved

Since 1991, Yachana has had many triumphs in improving the standard of living in the Ecuadorian Amazon and the protection and conservation of the rainforest. The proceeds from Yachana Lodge, Yachana Technology and our other micro-enterprises help support the work of the Yachana Foundation and enable the continuity of education for the area’s indigenous and mestizo youth. While these ventures help the Foundation continue on it's mission to achieve sustainability through education, it is only through the generous support and donations from individuals like you that truly make a difference!

If you are interested in helping Yachana change the socio-economic realities of the Ecuadorian Amazon, here are of some of the many ways in which you can do so:

Join the EcoTribe!

Become a member of Yachana's EcoTribe and be a part of the global team that supports our education and conservation programs.  Your monthly contribution is vital to our sustainability as an organization.  As we band together, working to create a world that works for everyone, the EcoTribe is a powerful force for change!  Click here to find out more.

Make a One-Time Donation

Alternatively, you can make a one-time donation here. Our students pay only $200 annually for school registration, uniforms and a basic insurance policy, which is all most can afford. We provide professors, housing in the boarding school and food and that represents an average annual cost for the foundation of $2,000 per student. We need your help to cover this difference!

Checks made payable to Yachana Foundation USA can be mailed to:

Yachana Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

Provide Food for a Day to Yachana Students

Presently, there are 103 students and 16 staff members at Yachana Technical High School. The students only produce a portion of the food on the school’s organic farm and additional food supplies must be brought in. With your help, we can provide a day’s worth of food for the entire school. Please visit our Food for a Day page at Travelers’ Philanthropy to learn how.

Adopt an Acre of Rainforest

Yachana has purchased more than 4,300 acres of rainforest to date. By adopting an acre, you are helping preserve a rapidly diminishing part of our earth’s natural biodiversity. With these funds we are able to purchase and protect our forest. For more information visit our Adopt an Acre Page at Travelers’ Philanthropy.

Visit us at Yachana Lodge

Come stay with us at Yachana Lodge, located deep within the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest on the banks of the Napo River. Our lodge is a world class, award winning Geotourism destination with its profits funding Yachana’s education and conservation projects.
